Bianchini HIGH ORDER NECESSARY OPTIMALITY CONDITIONS
نویسنده
چکیده
In this paper we present a method for determining some variations of a singular trajectory of an affine control system. These variations provide necessary optimality conditions which may distinguish between maximizing and minimizing problems. The generalized Legendre-Clebsch conditions are an example of these type of conditions.

Small time local controllability is a central property for obtaining optimality conditions, for stabilizing control systems, for studying the regularity of time minimal problems for control systems (in general, it is well known that the minimal time function is only lower semicontinuous, see for example, Cardaliaguet, Quincampoix and Saint Pierre, 1997), etc. There are many possible approaches ...
متن کاملSecond-order necessary optimality conditions for a discrete optimal control problem with mixed constraints
In this paper, we study second-order necessary optimality conditions for a discrete optimal control problem with nonconvex cost functions and state-control constraints. By establishing an abstract result on second-order necessary optimality conditions for a mathematical programming problem, we derive second-order necessary optimality conditions for a discrete optimal control problem.
متن کاملLack of convexity for tangent cones of needle variations
Cones of tangent vectors (generated by families of control variations) are the principal analytical tool for obtaining necessary and sufficient conditions for optimality and nonlinear controllability. Unlike the classical Pontryagin cone, it is known that in general high-order variational cones may fail to be convex. For control variations that converge in L to the reference control, this was s...
متن کاملFirst- and Second-Order Optimality Conditions for Optimal Control Problems of State Constrained Integral Equations
This paper deals with optimal control problems of integral equations, with initial-final and running state constraints. The order of a running state constraint is defined in the setting of integral dynamics, and we work here with constraints of arbitrary high orders. First and second-order necessary conditions of optimality are obtained, as well as second-order sufficient conditions.
متن کاملFirst- and Second-order Optimality Conditions for Mathematical Programs with Vanishing Constraints
We consider a special class of optimization problems that we call Mathematical Programs with Vanishing Constraints, MPVC for short, which serves as a unified framework for several applications in structural and topology optimization. Since an MPVC most often violates stronger standard constraint qualification, first-order necessary optimality conditions, weaker than the standard KKT-conditions,...
